Switch to a "default layer" when no linked software is in focus

I love my Creator Micro, but there is one feature I wish it had. I really like how it switches layers when a specific program is in focus, but it would be great if it reverted to a default layer when no specific programs are active. When I’m working in Illustrator, I don't want the same functions active in Chrome or File Explorer. It’s possible this feature already exists and I just haven’t found it yet.

Just want to make sure this feature is bumped up. This entirely would be something that we could use ASAP and should be fairly simple.

I’m so glad someone else brought this functionality up. I recently got the Framer micro and am loving it. I’ve got layers set up for my favorite design apps and some global shortcuts in the 1st layer (move windows left or right, turn on some lights, etc), but i need to manually go back to layer 1 to use them. Having it go back to layer 1 when the other apps are not in focus would save me so much time. Definitely on board with this suggestion!

I’d love to see this feature too. Just got my CMv2 today & got into setting it up and was disappointed when I tested my VS Code layer and realised that I’d manually need to switch back to the default for my “universal” shortcuts. I’m always swapping back and forward between apps so this would make my dev workflow so much easier if layer swapping is fully automatic.

Hi @Kollegard , thanks for your suggestion!

We are planning to implement this but we don’t have an ETA yet, it will get prioritized based on the community interest.
